Critical research, writing and analysis for content, policy, and storytelling. Human-generated.

I specialize in the history of medicine, human-landscape interaction, and incarceration in the United States. My research explores how incarcerated labor has shaped the American landscape, and the ways in which this relationship has in turn shaped policy, public memory, and the health of workers themselves. Whether I’m writing for academic audiences, developing public-facing content, or analyzing patterns across archival systems, my aim is to make complex and seemingly incompatible ideas clear, engaging and relevant.
